The basis for a household’s selection is their level of need for better housing, their willingness to partner with Habitat and work alongside volunteers, and their ability to pay an affordable mortgage.
Families may find themselves in need of safe, stable shelter due to a variety of circumstances, including unpredictable rent increases, overcrowded living conditions, damaged or dilapidated structures, unsafe neighborhoods, or a lack of access to land and affordable financing.
